Water Heater Fails and Floods Salon Overnight in Eugene Overnight?
9/5/2023 (Permalink)
I own a building that leases spaces for forty hair salons under one roof. When our commercial water heaters failed in the middle of the night, one-half of the building was damaged. The hallway and all the salons on either side of it were flooded. My insurance adjuster told me to call the North Eugene and Northwest Lane County office and they sent a crew out immediately to begin the mitigation process.
They used powerful, industrial-grade, submersible pumps to extract hundreds of gallons of water quickly and installed air movers and blowers to dry the damaged part of the building thoroughly. They completed the mitigation process before the building opened for business the next morning and were able to complete the restoration process with minimal disruption to our tenants and customers. Now you would never know we had a flooded building!
Although every water loss is unique, we follow the same water damage restoration process for every customer we serve:
Step 1: Emergency Contact
Step 2: Inspection and Damage Assessment
Step 3: Water Removal/Water Extraction
Step 4: Drying and Dehumidification
Step 5: Cleaning and Repair
Step 6: Restoration
